Thank you to WTTW's Nick Blumberg for shedding light on the issues cyclists face when attempting to submit service requests to the city of Chicago's $35 311 system. From the records submitted to our database, we uncovered usability and data issues that have caused many bike lane related submissions to be automatically closed, mislabeled, work was falsely stated to have been completed, or left dormant. In addition to the WTTW news segment, more on this subject can be learned from watching the December MBAC recording. After this segment aired, we have heard from cyclists indicating this same issue occurs in multiple cities.
